Live Review: The Brew

The Brew // Borderline, London (UK)

Hailing from Grimsby, The Brew landed in London as part of their UK tour and filled The Borderline with their bluesy, psychedelic rock sound. The trio, which has delivered astounding live performances across Europe, drew in a decent crowd and created a buzzing atmosphere from the get-go.

Jason Barwick’s powerful vocals dominated the room accompanied by his guitar work dishing out delectable morsels of tonal savagery while the rest of the band joined in with technical drums solos and gut-wrenching bass lines. The Brew has a no-frills stage presence which might not be everyone’s cup of tea but the audience seemed mesmerised by their psychedelic melodies.

This band’s trick is their straightforward approach and the honesty of their sound which they offered without holding back for the crowd to indulge in on this Saturday night.
