German/Australian sludge/noise-rock 3-piece Heads. and Swiss instrumental kraut-rock duo Closet Disco Queen are about to release brand new material on a split 7“ this month and to celebrate the occasion we’re streaming the entire 7″ in advance.
Heads.’s “Soothe” and Closet Disco Queen’s “Black Sorbet” are dirty, glorious (for different reasons), and irrefutable proofs of the powerful rock that exists within the European scene and that keeps be producing year after year. Heads.’s approach on “Soothe” is very lean and slick, mixing some noise and heaviness with an unmistakable post-punk feel, while the duo in Closet Disco Queen are more in touch with some appealing flamboyance, displaying a instrumental rock track that is freaky progressive and extremely witty and fast in its approach.
Both songs were mixed and mastered by Cult of Luna’s Magnus Lindberg at Redmount Studios in Stockholm. The artwork is designed by Radare’s Fabian Bremer. This is Crazysane Records first release, and is strictly limited to 222 hand-numbered copies (111 clear / 111 white wax). You can pre-order the split here.
