9000 Records (Consouling Sounds) has announced the release of People, when you see the smoke, do not think it is fields they’re burning, the third full-length album from Belgian post-rock/folk collective The Black Heart Rebellion (part of the mysterious Church of Ra scene).
Recorded and mixed by Koen Gisen at La Patrie Studios (Kiss The Anus Of A Black Cat, Flying Horseman) and mastered by Frederik Dejongh (Jerboa), this new effort is due out on October 23rd and follows-up the band’s second album Har Nevo released in early 2013.
Yesterday the Ghent-based quintet shared their music video for a brand new track entitled “Near to Fire for Bricks”.
About this new video, TBHR offered the following comments: “The video for Near To Fire For Bricks will fix your eyes on the creeping portrait of a timeless space. Once inside, an hour may take a lifetime and you notice gravity has failed, twisting and turning seemingly at random. The viewer is absorbed in a story detached from time and space. Unhurried it compels, with enough time for all the detail to soak in. And it does. The video leaves you with a heavy feeling on your chest and a craving to return to the rhythmic pulse of the song.”
