We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Ethos’ lyric video for their new single “Blinded” (watch it below), a track taken from the band’s sophomore full-length, Shade & Soil.
“Blinded is a melancholy, pulsing track that steadily builds toward its finale. Thematically, it explores the notion of a “fool’s errand,” if you will. We often find ourselves so devoted to something that we lose sight of its true beauty, and instead, become obsessed with this sort of fruitless hunt. This song is about letting go of harmful ideals or relationships or whatever that may be, and learning to accept the rare gifts moment to moment rather than remain blinded by the projection of our time and energy into the future unknown.” – Frontman Austen Earp stated.

Shade & Soil was recorded and mixed by the bands frontman Austen Earp and his brother Weston at Paper Panda Records, and mastered by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studio (Opeth, Katatonia, Between The Buried and Me) in Sweden.
