6 Artists That Inspired Deaf Havana, Picked By Tom Ogden & Stream Deaf Havana’s New Album

Deaf Havana are releasing their brand new album, All These Countless Nights, today – already the #1 album on the UK album charts. To celebrate such important occasion we teamed up with the UK alternative rock outfit to create a playlist with some of the tracks that have been highly influential for the band and their music. Six amazing tracks picked by Deaf Havana’s drummer Tom Ogden. Check them all out and stream their new album below.

Brand New – Degausser

Brand New are probably my favourite band, and this is probably my favourite track from my favourite album. There’s something about this band that so scrappy, heavy and filthy but beautiful at the same time.

Bon Iver – 8 (circle)

This is quite a recent release, but I’ve loved Bon Iver for years and I think the new album is stunning. I think this is one of the most beautiful songs I’ve heard in a few years.

Nirvana – Smells Like Teen Spirit

Nevermind was the first album my Dad bought for me. As soon as I heard this song, and the way the drums come in at the start, I knew I wanted to be a musician.

Oasis – Supersonic

I mean, Oasis ARE the greatest band of all time, fact. This is probably my favourite Oasis song, because of the chorus! Love it.

Foals – Inhaler

I remember listening to this album quite a lot when we recorded Old Souls. I love the way it’s recorded and how Yannis’ vocals sit with the band. One of my favourite bands at the moment.

The Hold Steady – Stuck Between Stations

I love this band so much! I love how the vocalist has this amazing ability to tell stories with his lyrics.

We’ve found a new direction in our sound but one that was completely unforced, that’s just how the songs come out of James’ (Veck-Gilodi) brain,” says the band. “It’s the darkest, most honest, most dynamic music we’ve ever written. We’ve never felt this together as a band and we’re all raring to get it started.
