Montreal’s Basia Bulat has shared a new single “In The Name Of (The Garden Version)“, which features orchestration by Owen Pallett that matches the passionate conviction in her vocal delivery.
“When I first wrote it, ‘In the Name Of’ was the song I was most nervous about sharing with anyone, and it’s since become the song I most want to shout from the rooftops,” says Bulat. “It’s a song about living for your own truth, in your own heart, and not accepting anything less.”

Her new album The Garden—a reimagination of songs across her five studio albums with stunning classical string quartet arrangements by Pallett, Paul Frith, and Zou Zou Robidoux — is out digitally this Friday, February 25 via Secret City Records. The physical release is scheduled to follow on May 6, 2022.
