Seven years later, the Canadian collective Broken Social Scene return with the album Hug of Thunder. The more numerous the group (up to 19 elements), the more difficult it is to establish a communication line to develop a job (which was precisely the case). Getting back together was a constant delay, but again, a winning and rewarding album emerges, showing friendship in musical formula. Throughout the album, we feel the maturity in production, the carefully aesthetic in serving a message of hope in a condemned world (love will always remain). Here, they still serve the rock wafer for narcissistic redemption (hello 2017). We don’t know if it will be well accepted, but we welcome this (desirable) communitarian communion from Canada.
