Constant Smiles share new single & video, “The Things I Miss”

Constant Smiles, a collective led by Ben Jones, have shared new single “The Things I Miss” from the forthcoming full-length release Paragons, their Sacred Bones Records debut, due out on November 12, 2021.

Ben Jones shares: ”‘The Things I Miss’ is about someone letting you into their life and trusting you to hold their safety in your hands but your foundation is brittle and rotten so you drop it and lose all of that hard work that took so long to build. Then, when it falls apart, you try to pick up the pieces and learn from it.

The single is accompanied by a beautiful video filmed on Martha’s Vineyard directed by Emily Kempf (of Dehd) and Kevin Veselka. Kempf shares: “I wanted to make a video for Ben that portrayed loss and memory and how they overlap over time and become something else. Grief stays with us but becomes fuzzier, like light dancing through leaves, healing sneaks in.”
