We invited artists, labels and publicists to tell us which records or artists they’ve personally enjoyed over the last twelve months. Dan Palmer‘s picks below. Zebrahead’s new album Walk the Plank is out now via Rude Records.

Strung Out – Transmission, Alpha, Delta
This record sounded so good we ended up using their producer Kyle Black to mix our record, Walk the Plank. It’s got shredding guitars and killer drums! As fucking usual!! Ha

New Politics – Vikings
We played with these guys in Japan and they’re one of the best live bands I’ve seen! This record has great songs!! Killer band all around!

Slayer – Repentless
Fucking Slayer!!!!!! I’ve always loved Slayer, the second guitar riff I ever learned was “South of Heaven”! This record makes me want to punch grandmas!

Common War – The Search
Great OC hardcore band and good friends of mine!! Great energy and good hardcore songs!

Man With a Mission – Raise Your Flag
We just finished touring with them for the past two months and they’re such an amazing band! Plus they stay up all night drinking with us! Great dudes!!

New Order – Music Complete
I didn’t think this record would be quite as good since Peter Hook left the band but this record is great!

Yelawolf – Love Story
I saw them open up for Blink 182 and Travis was playing drums for them. They were pretty badass and I dig this record!

Muse – Drones
Another solid record by one of my favorite current rock bands! Killer riffs! This band is always so on it!

The Prodigy – The Day Is My Enemy
They’re just awesome and I love watching them live! It always goes off when they play and this record captures that energy!

Van Halen – Tokyo Dome Live in Concert
It’s their first record with David Lee Roth which is the only real singer of Van Halen! It’s raw, untouched, and it’s got that charisma that only Roth can convey! Matty and I went and saw them three times on their last tour and it was so fucking awesome!!
