Dilly Dally- Heaven (Partisan Records) 2018

Success is a dream for many young artists, but achieving it doesn’t always lead to true happiness. Canadian rockers Dilly Dally learned that lesson the hard way when they almost called it quits after their debut Sore took them on a world tour, received rave reviews and, in the end, left them mentally and emotionally drained.
Fortunately, after a period of intense soul- searching, they found not only the strength to carry on, but the creativity to create a brilliant, heartfelt and dynamic sophomore album. Heaven consists of nine ‘90s-inspired alt-rock anthems with influences ranging from The Smashing Pumpkins to Hole, with the band sounding better than ever and ready to take on the world. Katie Monks sings each of these hope-filled songs with fierce conviction, and the noisy yet melodic guitars make an already strong artistic statement feel even more powerful.
