London-based singer-songwriter and pianist Douglas Dare delivers with his second full-length album a work that finds its purpose with the challenges of life and the doubts that often surface in one’s mind regarding identity and reality. Aforger is emotionally available and vulnerable, often very simplistic and direct in its sonic approach, giving room for Dare’s words to sink in. Its atmosphere refuses colors that aren’t black and white to make a presence or even show up briefly, making the experience as cohesive as coherent.
