Lowtide have released their second single “Elizabeth Tower” taken from their much-anticipated upcoming second album, Southern Mind, due out on 16 February via Opposite Number.
The single release is accompanied by a new video. Director Jamieson Moore was able to capture the yearning, heady energy of “Elizabeth Tower” by piecing together archival footage of Melbourne, unearthed from deep within the homemade, forgotten documentaries of aspiring filmmaker Mervyn Thomas.
Moore explains: “His focus on intimate moments and interactions with people, details of light and colour, landscape and nature is so special. So of course, Lowtide and I decided to celebrate Merv’s passion with a dedication to his work”.
