LUMP is the collaborative project from Laura Marling and Mike Lindsay, the founding member of Tunng and Throws, and a prolific producer. Their self-titled debut is out this Friday, June 1st 2018 via Dead Oceans. On the heels of a dynamic performance of lead single “Curse Of The Contemporary” on Live…with Jools Holland, today the band unveils the third and final single from their album, “May I Be The Light” which premiered on Later… with Jools Holland on Saturday night.
“’May I Be The Light’ was the weirdest one to pull together from the piece of music that Mike had,” explains Marling. “It’s in 5/4 and took a bit of getting my head around. The ‘Sign of The Times’ melody was one of those things that had been rolling around my brain for years and I finally found the right place for it.”
