The result is a stripped down and passionate effort, clearly influenced by Brand New’s almost confessional style, Radiohead’s bleakness and Basement’s unique and soulful approach. The simplistic way they transform and challenge the normal anxieties of young adulthood into optimism is empowering and brave and every moment of the album is executed with maturity and genuine emotion.
