Newcastle’s Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs are back with their new album, King of Cowards out 28th September on Rocket Recordings and today they’ve unveiled their third single, album opener, “GNT“.
Guitarist, Sam Grant produced the video and said: “The video was a load of fun to put together. We built a spinning camera jig so we could get that continuous shot and had a great few days getting it working with lighting, cake eating and Matt’s face. It also makes for a really clean edit, which works well and suits our aesthetic – it gives a hypnotic element that hopefully keeps the viewer engaged!”
Sam went on to say, “The album lyrics deal a lot with sin, in both modern and traditional guises. So sin was natural route for the visual side of things. We wanted to keep it all simple though, so the head dress Matt wears was the main conveyor of this, with various iconographic ‘things’ slipped in there. It came out looking a bit Bacchus, which is great, and there’s a bit of a macabre Joel-Peter Witkin style to it that’s magic!”
