Fine Place – a new duo comprising Frankie Rose (Vivian Girls, Crystal Stilts, Dum Dum Girls) and Matthew Hord (Running, Pop. 1280, Brandy) – have shared a new single “Cover Blind“, which is taken from their debut album, This New Heaven, out this Friday November 19th via Night School Records.
Fine Place say of the song and accompanying video: “Cover Blind is definitely one of the darker moments on the album. The dreariness of the production and cold drum programming are offset well by the vocal harmonies and I think it’s a great example of our two strengths at play in songwriting. Clay, who directed the video, is a good friend of ours in New York and specialises primarily in photography, but once he heard this particular track he showed interest in collaborating on a video. His aesthetic is modern, sleek with a touch of darkness and the sound and vision ended up fully complementary.”
