2016 – The Year In Review With Jordan Morrison of All Your Sisters

We’ve asked bands/artists to share with us their highs and lows of 2016 and what they hope the New Year will bring to them. Here’s the year in review with Jordan Morrison of All Your Sisters.

On a scale of 1-10, how was 2016 been for you?
I don’t usually quantify these things. It was great working with Flenser for the new record and we played a lot of good shows. The rest of the year was pretty terrible. Let’s say it was an “ok” year to balance things out.

Have you learned any life lessons this year?
Never trust the police. Don’t refrain from telling people you love them if you really do.

What was the highlight of 2016 for you?
The record, the Euro tour.

Any low points for you?
The current and ongoing state of the world.
My girlfriend’s brother passed away the day before the big Euro tour. It was really tough on both her and I.

What was the most overhyped thing of 2016?
Warped Tour

Worst of 2016?
Rampant racism and murder by our police officers. The US election.

Best of 2016?
Seeing Glenn Branca at Roulette in NYC 10/8

Best albums of the 2016?
[David Bowie’s] Blackstar and [Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds’] Skeleton Tree

Worst albums of the 2016?
I keep these opinions to myself.

Any new year’s resolution for 2017?
Drink less whiskey and manage my time better.

Uncomfortable Skin is out now on The Flenser.
