Sweden’s Alice Boman today released her new single “Heartbeat” with an exquisite music video, shot in Joshua Tree on Super 8 by live band member Julia Ringdahl. “Heartbeat,” co-produced by Tom Malmros and Fabian Prynn, was written on a summer’s day in Stockholm and the piano and vocals were recorded in Alice’s apartment in Malmö shortly thereafter. “The rest has been recorded in different locations,” says Alice. “Tom recorded the saxophones when he was on his own and then sent it to me. I remember exactly where I was and how moved I was, listening to it for the first time. This song is special to me, but I always want people to make their own interpretations of what songs are about, to let them be what they want them to be. That’s the magic.”
Following her sold out EU tour, which included shows in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Paris, Berlin and London, Alice recently announced she’ll be performing at the UK’s Great Escape Festival as well as two new dates in Sweden. Full itinerary below.
