Writer and director Tom Ford returns with Nocturnal Animals, an emotional and twisted thriller, full of tension and striking explicit. Ford perfectly balances understated hues with this kind of emotional violence, raising all the right and penetrating questions along with this disturbing mesmerizing effect on the audience.

Nocturnal Animals is a complex feature with an intoxicating narrative, filled with compelling and powerful performances from Jack Gyllenhal, Amy Adams and bad boy Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Tom Ford created a new form of neo-noir cinema, bringing all the elements of classic grindhouse, 70’s era revenge meets redemption exploitation flick. For better or for worse, Nocturnal Animals shows us a raw and shocking scenario, where violence and even some soul-searching are neither comfortable nor pretty.
