Honey and Salt Share New Song “Oyster”

Austin, Texas’ math rock masters, Honey and Salt, are gearing up to release their self-titled full length this Friday (April 6th), via Spartan Records. The band has unveiled a preview of the upcoming album with their explosive and melodic new single, “Oyster.”

“Oyster” is one of the most dynamic cuts from Honey and Salt. The track ebbs and flows through intricate Kinsella-esque guitar work, atmospheric interludes, and an absolutely tremendous chorus that highlights the band’s ability inject huge hooks into technical music. Lyrically the song deals with the central philosophical themes of the album as vocalist/guitarist, Wade Allen, wrestles with the pull of nihilism in the face of insurmountable global issues vs the innate desire to care deeply for the world around him.

Honey and Salt have also announced a run of U.S. tour dates, which start this week with their record release show in Austin. Check out the band on tour all throughout April, see full itinerary below.
