Le Butcherettes have released a new video for first single “Tunisia“, taken from their recently announced EP, Don’t Bleed, out February 14th via Rise Records.
The concept for video was created by Teri Gender Bender, Le Butcherettes frontwoman and directed by the mysterious entity of Violeta Felix who also produced the EP. The duo joined creative minds for a mind-bending video version of Rob Reiner’s directed adaptation of Stephen King’s novel, Misery. The video was shot in El Paso, TX where the band resides.
“I’ve always been such a big fan of the movie Misery and thought that it would be so much fun and cathartic to make a music video in tribute to it but with our take on it. Kathy Bates character in the movie has definitely inspired goosebumps throughout my body!”, comments Teri Gender Beder (Teresa Suárez Cosío).

Don’t Bleed is a delicate relationship of a woman having a dialogue with God, translating to be strong. The storytelling of Teri Gender Bender in this new EP brings, “a powerful double meaning of being told not to bleed as a woman and feeling shame of blossoming, so with time we are manipulated to hide in the darkness and our blood calls out to the forest creatures pulling them in closer to us for the hunt, even if we hide we are exposed,” says, Teri Gender Bender.
The EP was recorded in El Paso, TX where the Guadalajara-born and El Paso-LA based group recorded. The album was produced by the mysterious entity by the name of Violeta Félix.
The band will finish off 2019 on tour with Incubus in the U.S. in November and December. Full tour dates below:
