Ohmme, aka multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriters Sima Cunningham and Macie Stewart are going to release their debut album, Parts, on August 24th via Joyful Noise Recordings. After sharing “Icon” and “Water,” Ohmme now presents new track “Peach” (listen below).
The duo said the followig about the new track: “From a young age, many women are taught to present their more aggressive thoughts and desires in a much more palatable way. ‘Peach’ plays with these norms by using fruit as a disguise for aggression, sexual desire, and hunger. The song is centred around a dark and disjointed groove that is constantly trying to tear itself apart. The sporadic guitar shrieks in and out, almost as a metaphor for those unwanted thoughts that pop in and out of your head.”
