Roísín Murphy has unveiled another 12″ – the second in a series of four 12” singles produced by Maurice Fulton and out through The Vinyl Factory – and the self-directed video for “Plaything“.
Filmed across a two day residency at London’s The Store X last month, Murphy has created four visual chapters to accompany her series of 12” singles. “Plaything” is the second in the series of exceptionally personal videos, In Murphy’s own words; “All My Dreams, the first was about my first rave experience at Shelley’s in Nottingham and it represents a naive youthful burgeoning club culture. This the second, goes darker, we have moved on a few years and by then I had seen people be swallowed up in the euphoria..“
“Plaything/Like” is out on vinyl July 6th. Stream below the entire 12″.
