Humans suck, we all know that, we’re easily manipulated and our greed and lack of dignity is something that we see every single day, from the random news, politics and the way people behave with each other. Stage Reality self-titled album smartly tackles the issues mentioned above, but brings along some killing burning questions. Is life just a stage where we portray our own sense of reality? Or we’re just here acting in this kind of “Stage Reality”?
Just like old good traditional heavy metal records, Stage Reality new effort blends into one big amalgamation of riffs and headbanging anthems, it’s also aggressive, at times quite dark and displays that classic in your face attitude. Featuring killer guest such as Blaze Bayley (Iron Maiden, Wolfsbane) and Amanda Somerville (Avantasia, Epica, Kiske/Somerville, Trillium), Stage Reality new album means business right from the start, but there’s no middle ground here, you’ll either love it or hate it.
It’s hard to fault such strong album, but it’s also fair to say that the lack of dynamics leaves you anticipating a climax that sadly fails to arrive.
