SSuicide Silence have changed. The sound on their new self-titled record features clean, haunting vocals, that don’t quite fit in with what the band are trying to achieve. The album is a messy monster, mediocre in its delivery, plastered with uninspiring lyrics and underwhelming musicality. And there’s been a war in the metal-core community recently regarding the change in direction, with people spitting their rage. Many metal-heads have dismissed the opus too, even starting a plea for the record to be put into a safe, never to be issued. But, it has been released, and it is riddled with weakness, songs which tire easily. There isn’t a track to write home about.
