Stream Valley Lodge’s New Album, “Fog Machine”

Today, we’ve the pleasure to bring the premiere of Valley Lodge‘s brand new album, Fog Machine, out tomorrow  (October 19) via Tee Pee Records. The band’s fourth album was recorded & mixed by Tom Beaujour (Guided By Voices, Nada Surf) at Nuthouse Recording in Hoboken, NJ.

Valley Lodge consists of an all-star constellation of New York indie luminaries, featuring comedian (Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, Inside Amy Schumer, Comedy Central’s @midnight) and guitarist/vocalist Dave Hill (Painted Doll, ex-Cobra Verde, Sons of Elvis), guitarist/vocalist Phil Costello (Tragedy Witch Taint), bassist Eddie Eyeball (2 Skinnee J’s) and drummer Rob Pfeiffer (Sense Field). By the way, the band’s popular song “Go” is the theme song to HBO’s late-night news satire program Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.

Stream below Valley Lodge’s new album in full, and let yourself go into their guitar-driven and dazzling melodic rock.

The brilliant Dave Hill said about their new album: “Fog Machine’ is Valley Lodge’s fourth album. It is perfect for long drives to nowhere, awkward yet ultimately romantic bus station encounters, and endless hours cranking your mom’s car stereo in the nearest mall parking lot even though the rent-a-cops have asked you to leave like five times already and also you are 36 years-old and this is honestly pretty far down on your list of very real life problems. In short, ‘Fog Machine’ is pretty much the perfect album for all occasions (especially that last one I just mentioned). We did our best to combine everything we love about rock and pop music into the songs on this record. That said, I am just now realizing there are no right hand tapping guitar solos on this album and it is killing me.”

Phil Costello continues:”As Dave said, ‘Fog Machine’ is our 4th studio album, which by definition makes it a lot like Led Zeppelin IV. How could you get off to a better start than that? I love being in Valley Lodge, not only because Dave is an old friend who’s fun to hang out with, but because his songs are actually incredibly good.”

Fog Machine arrives tomorrow (October 19th) via Tee Pee Records, pre-order the album here.
